Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Pupils in the Art and Jewellery making university groups handmade the scarecrow, using a Christmas tree, school clothes, beads, pipe cleaners, paper mache and lots of glitter!
Tescos Extra will be displaying scarecrows made by Thanet schools, over the Festive season, to highlight homelessness across the Isle.
A huge thank you to Mrs Comber and all of her merry helpers for doing something for such a great cause.
A huge thank you must go to the Thanet Lions charity, who have donated £1,595.82 to the school from the proceeds of the Boot Fairs that they held on the school field over the summer months.
Representatives from the Thanet Lions organisation handed over a cheque to our Head Boy and Girl this week in our Celebration Assembly. The money will be spent on some new playground markings for the Key Stage 1 playground, which will support both learning and play.

Year 4, Durham, Goldsmith and York, were lucky enough to be visited by the 'Almost Always Muddy' artists, in partnership with Thanet's Looping the Loop Festival on Thursday.
The children were taken through the process of how to make a mallet and were encouraged to join in with 'loose play' to explore their own risk limits through making and using their imagination. They made puppets to develop characters and also learnt storytelling techniques. A big thank you to the families who came to support the workshop; we hope you had as much fun as the children!
We were so fortunate to take some children to the BBC Children in Need live broadcast at Dreamland in Margate this evening. Regardless of the near freezing temperatures, our children had a lot of fun on the rides and meeting Pudsey again. Some of the children even had the chance to participate in some circus skills activities which were broadcast live to the nation. You can see what they got up to HERE.
A fun evening was had by all.

Pudsey Bear from BBC Children in Need paid a visit to Drapers Mills Primary Academy on Tuesday 14th November. We raised a huge £500 by holding a number of spotacular events. Even Mr Manclark couldn't resist a photo opportunity with Pudsey. A huge thank you to everyone for making this such a huge success.
