Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are delighted to welcome to our team, Julie, our Place2Be School Project Manager. Place2Be works with children whose emotional issues and behaviour negatively effects their ability to thrive in school. Working with Place2Be through play, creative work and talking, children become happier, better behaved and more effective learners.
If you want to contact Julie, she will be in school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week and can be contacted through the school office.
Last month we were visited by our HMI and an Ofsted inspection team for a monitoring visit to see how the school was improving. The BRILLIANT news is that we have been brought out of Special Measures in record time. In fact the school impressed the inspectors so much that the school was deemed as ‘Requires Improvement’ but with three out of the five categories judged as ‘Good’.
This dramatic improvement is very unusual in such a short space of time and testament to the hard work and dedication of all of the children, staff, Governors – and of course you, our parents/carers.
The inspection has shown the school to have achieved an impressive turnaround with inspectors saying that there have been ‘significant improvements’ throughout the school as there is ‘an absolute commitment to the pastoral care and well-being of all pupils’ as well as their academic success.

We would like to thank all of you who have supported us during the last sixteen months. Your help, encouragement and suggestions to improve our school have been invaluable. We know that we will continue to work together to make the school even better.
Congratulations to all of our children who have a 100% attendance record since September. These children were rewarded with a cinema afternoon today when they watched 'Inside Out' and ate popcorn.
The treat was well deserved.
We are hoping that the next event will see more children earning their reward.

Children in our Reception classes had a wonderful time sharing all their super learning with their grown-ups. They had a range of activities available to them, all linked to their 'I need a hero' topic. Each class represented a different hero; Koalas were learning all about Fire Fighters; Kangaroos had activities based on the Police; Wombats had activities based on Superhero’s.
The children and their grown-ups took part in many creative activities such as making fire engines, hand painting superheroes, decorating superhero biscuits and children enjoyed role playing finding the missing kangaroo. It was an exciting and fun filled afternoon for both children and adults alike.
We look forward to the next one!
Some of our lucky children are travelling up to the O2 Arena in London today to take part in the largest school choir concert in the world.
Parents will be updated with the events of the day through this page of our website, where we will be posting messages and photographs as they happen.
Thanks to our Sport Coaches from Premier Sports, children in years 1, 2 and 3 were able to try the ancient sport of archery today.
Much fun was had by all and many children said that they would like to do it again. Who knows, maybe we have inspired a future Olympic Champion!
