  • UPDATE: Free School Meals

    Tue 27 Oct 2020

FABULOUS NEWS FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN ENTITLED TO FREE SCHOOL MEALS.

Kent County Council has announced vouchers for food are available during half-term for families whose children are eligible for benefits related free school meals, so that no Kent child goes hungry.

A dedicated helpline has been set up. Families who apply will receive one supermarket voucher of £15 per child.

Anyone eligible for free school meals who needs extra financial support to help feed their children can now visit www.kent.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals or call the dedicated helpline on 03000 41 24 24.

Families have until next Monday 2nd November 5pm to apply.

Speaking after today’s announcement, Mr Gough said: “Kent County Council and our partners in district and borough councils have already helped thousands of Kent residents, including families with school-aged children, since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.  At the weekend, with the half-term holiday approaching, I reminded residents about the help the Kent Together helpline and webpage offer and urged anyone who was struggling to contact us. This dedicated helpline will streamline and speed up the process so we can get urgent help to those that need it.  This support for families in need has always been in place. I hope, though, that this helpline will enable people who need urgent help to get it, and to get it quickly. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we support the most vulnerable within our community. I hope that this service will quickly provide families with the help they need and ensure that no child in Kent is left to go hungry.”

  • KCC Survey: 2 year old development reviews

    Sun 25 Oct 2020

    Dear parents / carers.

We have been asked to contact you on behalf of Kent County Council, The Education People and the Health Visiting Service (Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust), who are working together to review and implement improvements to the two-year review processes.

Children at two years of age are offered a two-year developmental review by the Health Visiting Service as well as a progress review by their early years setting.

Please complete our five minute survey by 7 November, so that we can seek your views and make the review process more meaningful for you and your child.

  • Informing school of confirmed COVID cases during the Half-term Break

    Sun 25 Oct 2020

Although we hope that all of our pupils, their families and our wider school community stay safe and well during the half-term holidays, it is important that the school is informed of any positive Covid cases involving any of our children or their families during the half-term period. This is so the school is able to take the appropriate action and inform those that may have been in contact with you or your child.

Any communication should be by email to office@dmpa-tkat.org which will be checked on a daily basis throughout the week.

    Thank you all.

  • UPDATE: School Dinners

    Wed 07 Oct 2020

We are delighted to inform you that we will be able to serve HOT SCHOOL DINNERS in our canteen as from Monday 12th October.

The children will remain in their 'bubbles' and will not be mixing with other children in the canteen at any time. There will be increased hygiene measures in place and seating will be organised so social distancing can take place.

All children in Reception, years 1 and 2 are eligible to receive a free hot meal under the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme but can bring in their own packed lunch if they would prefer.

Children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 who are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) will now be able to receive a hot meal every day. Those children who are not in receipt of FSM but would like to pay for a meal can do so through the ParentPay app. If you haven't already signed up for ParentPay, please contact the office.

We are no longer able to take cash for payment of school meals which now have to be paid through ParentPay.

    Thank you.
