  • LAST DAY OF TERM

    Mon 19 Jul 2021

Our last day of term is Friday 23rd July.

All of our children return to school on Monday 6th September.

  • Reminders about the organisation for Year 6 events this week

    Mon 19 Jul 2021

    Below is some information for Year 6 parents/ carers regarding arrangements for this week;

Monday- Hartsdown transition day for any children starting there in September. All other children need to attend school as normal.

Tuesday- the children are having their Fun Day in the afternoon. This is taking place during school hours so will not affect pick up. They do not need to bring anything with them. There will be a bouncy castle, ice cream van (paid for from the Year 6 fund) and many other games and activities.

Wednesday- this will be a normal school day but they will need to come back to school at 6pm if they would like to attend the Prom. All refreshments are provided by us. This will end at 7.30pm. Parents are welcome to take pictures but ensure that other children that may be in photos have permission to be shared on social media if you intend on sharing them.

    Thursday - normal school day.

Friday - we have asked the children to keep their decorated t-shirts at school so that they can change into them for their last day. They will be getting either their shirt or yearbook (they choose which) signed during the day. We will have to be mindful of not mixing bubbles when doing so, they will not be able to go around the school as children have done in previous years.

If you have any further questions about anything I may have missed then please feel free to email year6@dmpa-tkat.org and I will be happy to help.

    Have a lovely weekend,

    Miss Johnson

  • A Celebration of Work (from 12.07 to 16.07)

    Sun 18 Jul 2021

A celebration of some of the fantastic things the children did in school last week.

  • Sad farewells …

    Sun 18 Jul 2021

It is unfortunate at this time of year that we need to say goodbye to some of our staff.

Mr Comber will be leaving us at the end of this term to take up an Assistant Headteacher position at another school. We will miss his boundless energy and enthusiasm and his skill at putting together our staff xmas and end of term videos!!!

Mrs Arnold, our Business Manager, is also leaving, taking well deserved early retirement. The school could not have run effectively over the years if it wasn’t for her hard work and efforts.

Mrs Pollard, our Receptionist will also be saying goodbye. We thank her for being the first smiling face you all see as you enter the school building.

Mrs Warne, our year 1 TA is leaving to start Teacher Training in September. We wish her all the very best of luck in what could be the start of a fantastic journey for her.

I am sure you will join me in thanking them all for everything they have done over the years and in wishing them all the very best of luck in their new ventures.

Replacements will be announced upon our return in September.

    J Manclark
    Headteacher.

  • A Celebration of Work (from 05.07 to 09.07)

    Mon 12 Jul 2021

A celebration of some of the fantastic things the children did in school last week.

  • Euro 2020 Final

    Sat 10 Jul 2021

We’d love for as many of our children as possible to be able to watch the EURO 2020 Final tomorrow evening but appreciate that this may have an impact on their ability to get up in time for school on Monday.

We do not want children to miss a day of school because they are not able to get in on time. Therefore, in line with the arrangements made by other local Primary Schools, although the school doors will still be open from 8.30am, if children get up late we are happy for them to come in later on Monday, as long as they are in school before 11am.

The children are meeting their new teachers at 9.30 so it will be preferable for them to be in on time, but I hope the flexibility we are offering allows you all to watch the game.

    Headteacher
