• BAFTA Kids Roadshow with Place2Be

  Drapers Mills Year 6 students were extremely lucky to be visited by Arielle Free and Ben Shires, from the BAFTA Kids Roadshow. The children had a range of challenges which varied from interviewing other students in the class, reading scripts while directors spoke over them, having to speak about a random topic for 30 seconds and remembering information about their friends. The children really enjoyed themselves and were outstanding on all the challenges, we would like to thank PLACE2BE for organising an amazing event for our children to enjoy.

• Turner Contemporary Visit

  Our Art University group visited the Turner Contemporary to view their current exhibition 'Animals and Us'. Karina, who won the KS2 Portfolio competition, got to view her artwork at the gallery!

  

• Head Boy & Head Girl Elections

  We are delighted to announce that the children in school have elected Aston and Holly to be our Head Boy and Girl for the next academic year. Riley and Tya will be Deputy Head Boy and Girl.

   

  Well done to all twenty one children who put their names forward for the position and showed they were capable of leadership around school. Their skills will be put to good use next year. 

   

  We are extremely proud of them all.

  Congratulations to all of our children in Northern Ireland for winning the house point trophy this week.

  2nd - Wales

  3rd - England

  4th - Scotland

   

  Wales still lead overall in the standings for this year.
