Fabulous News!
The school has been donated a number of Easter Eggs which we would like to give away. We are therefore holding an Easter Bonnet Competition and will be giving the Eggs away as prizes.
All Bonnets are to be brought into school on Thursday 1st April for judging. There will be a prize for the best bonnet from each class.
Apologies for the short notice but the prizes have only just been made available to us.
Have fun!!

RED NOSE DAY ( Comic Relief) is on Friday 19th March.
We would like children to come to school dressed as a superhero. They can make up their own superhero with their own super power if they want to and in return please make a donation to this charity. If your child is anxious about dressing up and would rather wear non school uniform, then that is fine but we would also kindly ask for a donation.
However much or little we raise, we’ll be helping change lives in the UK and across the world.
As well as taking the opportunity to be part of something positive, we’ll be using Red Nose Day as a learning opportunity through our assembly to explore the issues facing young people across the world, and how the money we raise can help.
So get Friday 19 March in the diary and prepare to have some fun.
With massive thanks for all your support,

Dear parents/carers,
As you’re likely aware, the government has announced that schools will reopen to all pupils on Monday 8th March. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming back all of our children and seeing them face-to-face. We are so grateful for the support parents have given with remote learning during lockdown.
From 8th March, school attendance will be mandatory and our usual rules on attendance will apply. However, as a reminder, your child should not come to school and self-isolate if they:
In line with the latest government guidance, pupils who are clinically extremely vulnerable should not attend school. If your child is in this group, they should continue to learn from home until further notice. Please contact your child’s class teacher to arrange for work to be set.
Rest assured that we’re doing everything we can to make sure that your children can return to school safely and we will be taking the following protective measures to keep everyone safe:
Drop off / collection procedures
Rules on what pupils can take to and from school

The school’s Covid-19 Risk Assessments for both the school and nursery settings and materials to support parents returning their children to school can be found on the school website at https://www.drapersmillsprimary.co.uk/covid-19-updates/
We understand that some of you and your children will be anxious about returning after an extended period away from school. Please be reassured that we are taking exceptional measures to make our school as safe as can be. If you or your child have any concerns about returning to school, or if you think your child might need extra support when they return, please get in touch with your class teacher or contact the office directly on office@dmpa-tkat.org or (01843) 223989.
We’ll continue to keep in touch if we update our plans or if we need to make changes due to new government guidance.
Warmest regards and we all look forward to seeing you on Monday.
