Thu 05 Oct 2017Are you thinking about kick-starting an exciting new career in teaching? If so, our Teacher Training Information Evening is the perfect opportunity for you to learn all you need to know about teacher training and how to apply.
Who is this event for?
Our event is designed for anyone who has a degree and is interested in teaching and considering starting their initial teacher training in September 2018. It offers a great opportunity to get all your questions about teaching and teacher training answered.
What to expect
If you attend the Information Evening you’ll be able to:
- discuss the different teacher training options available, to help you decide which would best suit you;
- attend one of the short presentations delivered by the Head of SCITT at 4.30pm and 5.30pm;
- find out about our programme and entry requirements;
- talk to our previous trainees (now practising teachers) about what a career as a teacher is really like;
- find out about bursaries, scholarships and funding available for teacher training.

Margate junior parkrun - weekly free 2k timed run for juniors

What is Margate junior parkrun?
It is a 2k run for juniors only (4-14 year olds). If you are not a junior please try one of our weekly Saturday parkrun events instead.
When is it?
It is held every Sunday at 9:00am.
Where is it?
The event takes place in Hartsdown Park, Hartsdown Rd, Margate CT9 5QX. See Course page for more details.
What does it cost to join in?
Nothing - it's free! but please register before your first run. Only ever register with parkrun once. Don't forget to bring a printed copy of your barcode (request a reminder).
How fast do I have to be?
The aim is to have fun. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!
