The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations at Drapers Mills Primary Academy

On Friday 10th June, the children of Drapers Mills primary Academy celebrated the Queens 90th Birthday. After all, this was a very special occasion!

Children engaged in a number of creative activities in the mornings as part of the festivities. Children in the Shooting Stars rooms made scones to create a traditional English cream tea; they looked delicious.  In the afternoon, the whole school had a picnic on the field. Children joined in traditional circle games before enjoying the delicious party food provided by parents. Unfortunately, the seagulls wanted to join in too!

We all then went to the playground to create a whole school human flag. A wonderful time was had by all. Even the sun shone!
