The school has been informed by KCC that as from Monday (6th July) until the end of term, St Peters Footpath will be closed to traffic between the hours of 8.00am - 9.30am and 2.00pm - 3.30pm. This is part of a pilot "School Street" scheme - full details which can be found HERE.
All school gates will still remain open for children to access school in their normal way.
We have been working closely with KCC for a number of years now to try and make the school a safer place and to reduce the number of cars using the roads around school at key times of the school day. Although I appreciate this may inconvenience some members of our school community, I am delighted that the school have been invited to participate in this initiative and anything that can improve safety around the school and supports the well-being of our children needs to be explored.
Members of the school community are encouraged to complete the surveys to feedback to KCC.
