Our children went to the Polls recently to vote for who they wanted to represent them on the schools leadership team. Children in key stage 2 saw democracy in action when they cast their votes after listening to a number of prospective candidates share their ideas on how they would improve the school.
David Koloszvary and Abbie Didd were the successful candidates with Kieran Quittenden and Acshaya Gunapalasingam being voted in as their Deputies.
All four will work closely with the School’s Senior Leadership Team to give all the children at school a voice. Their first initiative was to hold a non-school uniform day where children dressed up as characters from their favourite books or European Sports Stars where they raised over £200. They aim to spend the money on more playground equipment for the children in Key Stage 2 and reading rewards for the children in Key Stage 1.
Mr Apps said that they will be an invaluable asset to the leadership team and looks forward to working with them.
