Football - Les Riggs Cup

Congratulations to our football team who beat St.Nicholas at Wade 6-4 tonight in the Les Riggs Cup first round.

A glorious 6-4 win for Drapers Mills

We played a good first half with lots of passing but there was a lack of communication. St Nicholas were a good team who put us under pressure but we managed to score four goals in the first half, with Kieran scoring a hat-trick. Bobby scored an easy tap in after a cross by Jack which was the important goal which made us feel that we could relax, but we pushed on more. Although we conceded 2 goals in the first half, Kai made some very important saves.

In the second half, communication improved and we played much better as a team. Bobby scored a further two goals to get his hat-trick. Unfortunately, St Nicholas scored another two taking the score to 6-4 but we managed to defend well and hold onto our lead.
