First Aid training

At Drapers Mills we offer children in Key Stage 2 the opportunity to learn a practical life skill that will stay with them for life. First aid equips our children with the ability to save a life or render first aid in response to an emergency. Our children have been following the Teach the Difference approved schools programme provided by St John Ambulance. The course has been split into three levels based on skill difficulty and stage appropriateness.

We are proud to celebrate that 18 children have completed their First Aid Level 1 and 16 have completed their First Aid Level 2. We anticipate that by the end of term 15 children would have completed the full programme and will be Young First Aiders and 16 will be level 2 qualified. We will be continuing this programme in September.
