We have been using column method to add and subtract amounts of money. We set up our own shops to learn how to calculate change.

Literacy
This week we have been exploring writing our own poems in the style of Brenda Williams. The children have really enjoyed learning this poem and exploring our local area with their senses.

Each term I will post year three's home learning challenge on this page for you to refer to. Home learning is set on a Friday and is due in the following Friday. This includes a spelling sheet and multiplication homework. Topic homework is set at the beginning of term and is due in in the last week of term

The School day for our children begins at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm.
Registration is at 8.45.
Break-time is 10.40 - 10.55
Lunches:
Where a child is unwell during the day every effort will be made to contact you so please ensure that we are kept fully informed of any change of emergency contact numbers, address etc.
Toucans PE - Tuesday and Thursday
Macaws and Kingfishers- Monday and Thursday
Please ensure your children comes with the appropriate kit every week. It is a legal requirement for every child to take part in two hours of PE per week.
It is really important that your child is properly equipped for these lessons with T-shirt, shorts, trainers and as the weather gets colder, track suit bottoms.
