Click on the first flower below to find our new home learning format.
You will find Maths, Reading and Literacy home learning as one document and another document for the Topic home learning. We are trying to simplify things for everyone and make learning more accessible for pupils that cannot get access to paper copies of work.
This will enable to you access everything online and if you would like to print the plans you only need to print two documents each week which you will find attached below. If you have any queries please contact us at reception@dmpa-tkat.org

SCHOOL CLOSURE INFORMATION
Dear Parents,
As you are all aware the school is currently closed. Your child has been issued with a home learning pack to complete. Additional to this, we have uploaded a week’s worth of activities and resources for your children to complete. We are not expecting you to complete all of these tasks but we have given you a variety which you can choose from to engage your children.
Your child has also been given a NUMBOTS password and username. This is a fantastic online resource which focuses on areas of maths such as counting, ordering etc. We will be monitoring this daily and can see how well your child is doing! If you have any issues with this then please email us at reception@dmpa-tkat.org or simply fill in the form below and we shall respond as soon as possible.
We have also uploaded a file known as ‘creative’ which has some fun activities for your children to complete whilst at home. These range from homemade playdough, thought provoking questions and messy play activities.
Thank you for your continued support.

How Do Bears Hibernate?
Chinese New Year celebrations
We read the Chinese New Year story and learned why 2020 is the year of the rat! Over the next couple of weeks, children will have fun exploring Chinese customs and become experts in Chinese calligraphy and ribbon dancing!
We are learning about how animals survive in the cold. First, the children sorted animals living in warm and cold places. We learned all about animals hibernating in the winter and we found out how some animals keep warm with their thick layer of blubber under the skin.
We have begun a new topic about people who help us. We already know lots of people who help us and will be using non-fiction books to research more about them.
Autumn is here! Leaves are falling everywhere in our outdoor area! It is real fun! We have read the beautiful sensory story of Leaf Man and collected leaves to create our own leaf creatures.

What a busy start of the year! The children have spent their first couple of weeks in reception and they have all settled really well.
They have becoming familiar with their new learning environments and are learning the rules and routine of their new setting.
This term the children will learn all about themselves and others and how special they all are! Find more information about our learning in our newsletter.
