Hi parents, carers and children!

Welcome to our Shooting Star page where you can find out all about what your child learns with us. If you would like more information, please come to see us or visit our EAL page by clicking here: http://www.drapersmillsprimary.co.uk/eal/

Important information

The school day runs from 8.45 a.m. -3.15 p.m. but the children can come in for early learning from 8.30 a.m. Please come to the side door (by the Year 6 classes) to drop them off in the morning. Your children will go back to their main class in the afternoon, so ask us where to pick them up at the end of the day.

Clubs: There are lots of lunchtime or after school clubs your child can join. some examples are: art club, sports, etc. but we can give you the full list.

P.E: Please bring in your P.E kit in a separate bag so your child can take part in all the fun activities.

Uniform: It is really important for every child to wear the correct uniform which includes black school shoes, not trainers. Here's what it looks like: http://www.drapersmillsprimary.co.uk/uniform/

New arrivals: If your child is new to the school and English is not their first language, we are here to help them learn basic vocabulary, understand the school routines and help them settle into Drapers!

Your child will be with us every morning for Literacy and Maths and will then go back to their main class in the afternoon. We teach children from Year 1 all the way to Year 6, which means they will make lots of friends and settle in quicker smileyno.

Homework:

We will be sending out homework every week to review the topics covered. Please help your child with this and return to us after the weekend.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We are here to help!

Thanks,
