Eco Code

We undertook an Environmental Review to find out where we are with Eco Issues and this helped us develop an Eco Code which is on display in every classroom and office around the school.

See if you can spot them as you go around the school!

Action Plan

The Environmental Review showed us areas we need to improve on. This helped us see what we need to do to improve our School in an Eco friendly way.

Look on the Eco display board in the Corridor opposite the Entrance Hall to see our Action Plan and other Interesting Eco Information!

Linking to the Curriculum

Every term, Eco Club take a whole school assembly to raise the awareness of a focus for that term. Teachers are aware of the areas to ensure they make Eco links when possible in our lessons. We also look out for news items for around the world.

Looking at the present...

We set up an Eco Club in September 2008. We meet after school and do lots of different, fun activities to help us learn about our environment and how we can be more Eco Friendly.

We follow the Eco Schools International Programme.

We achieved the Bronze Award by December 2008 and Silver by March 2009.

We are now working towards our Green Flag!!!

We have an Action Team which is members of Eco Club, members of Staff and Governors.

We have carried out our first Environmental Review which shows where we are at with the Eco Issues.
